“Ok – I consider a bedroom to be a place where you dream and all your romantic dreams come true. Secondly, you are beautiful to look at – like a Queen – so I designed the bedroom that will befit a Queen like you… If you have observed – all the curtains are drawn up and the room is illuminated by the lights that are designed to make your bedroom look like King and Queen’s bedroom – you have seen the exquisite carvings around the room… right?” she nodded to what he said and was awaiting breathless for what he was about to show her…
He touched a switch and the room was absolutely dark as if it was night, “See – you can enjoy a night during a sunny day – now watch for the effects…”
He pressed a button and an dim orange light lit up the corners as if it was lit up by torch of old times that used cloth and oil … an exclamation of wow escaped her. Then he switched it off and pressed another button which dimly lit up an indirect white light behind the TV in the room. “This will enable you to watch TV or anything from your phone when connected to it without stressing your eyes…” she looked at the TV with satisfaction, “Now, let’s say you want to serve breakfast or have drinks lazily sitting here…” he switched off the indirect white light and switched on a comfortable light over the serving table towards the corner of the bedroom… she was impressed…
He switched off the light and the bedroom was dark again, “Hold your breath for the most romantic effect…” saying thus, he pressed another button and a dim romantic blue light shown upon the bed giving it a sexy look… The bed was circular with fascinating carvings toward the side with 2 ends open to hop on it – it was placed in the centre of the room – along with the blue light above – dim blue light also peeked out from the corners where he had shown the torch like lights – the bed had 4 curtains going up to the chandelier above where they were hooked and a faint refreshing noise of a small fountain was all she could hear… It was like a romantic dream come true… she was breathless at the sight…
He switched it off and turned on the main chandelier and the lights in the room – “So – Lavanya – now tell me about how you feel…”
She was dazed by the grandeur of the bedroom and for almost 2 minutes she just kept looking blank at the entire setup while he exited from the bedroom and sat in the main hall waiting for her to give her reaction…
She came out of the bedroom after about 5 minutes and looked happily at Akash, “Thank you so much – you have really made my bedroom the way my dreams are – I don’t have enough words to thank you… I really am happy and happier…”
He smiled at her. “Be within your dreams – I will take your leave now…” saying thus, he left her with her dreams and proceeded to the bank to deposit the hefty cheque she had given him – happy that he had indeed been able to fulfil one of his customer’s dream and he started to think on similar lines where he would design the bedrooms for his other customers who would be similarly happy leading to more such contracts – he was already counting money that he would be making…
After the bank, he made his way to his rented flat and paid the landlord for the rent and picked up his stuff … He was about to move back to Mumbai when he received a call from Lavanya reminding him of the coffee he had promised her before he left for Mumbai…
He smiled at the proposition and drove his car to her bungalow again… and after he left she had immediately called her husband on a video call showing off the interiors to awed husband who looked at the interiors and appreciated them promising that they would visit the bungalow as soon as he returns from Delhi… to the question he asked she told him that Akash had already left for Mumbai and he regretted that he couldn’t thank him for such magnificent interiors…
