It was hot and dry in the desert of Rajasthan. The police were taking a traitor and a mafia don who was a political leader from a jail in Rajasthan to a court in Delhi. The people in favour of that traitor feared that he would be killed by police in the transit or an accident would be made to happen killing him instantly. So was the media who wanted to capture such an occurrence…
The crazy media in quest of TRP was following the caravan of the police in bid to see if that would happen and claim that they were the first to report it on the TV. They were covering it LIVE…
Priya Singhal was a glamorous and a pretty TV anchor. She was one of the reporters covering this event with her new cameraman Chaitanya. He was bored by all this nonsense reporting but it was his job to do so – he was tagging along. He wanted to be a daring cameraman who would shoot some perilous scenes and earn his name and fame.
The caravan stopped at a dhaba by the highway for food and rest. So did the crazy journalists and reporters. They were not allowed to interact or interview the traitor. They had their food and rested and whiled away their time. It was boring…
Suddenly some masked people stopped by in two cars and opened up fire on the resting police. There was a scramble of these journalist and reporters to get to a safe place and then report the happenings. Priya started to run towards safety but found Chaitanya missing. She saw him in thick of firing, his camera turned ON and shooting the proceeding.
“Come to safety and shoot the happening…” she shouted out to Chaitanya but he was beyond the reach of her voice and kept on shooting the scene with his camera. The police hadn’t had a chance as the attack was sudden, quick and in an organized manner. They approached the traitor and shot at him spraying hell lot of bullets – killing him instantly …
One of their bullets shattered his camera. While the tyres of police cars and the vans were flattened by them shooting the bullets at them…
“You are crazy.” she said looking aghast at Chaitanya – “you could’ve got killed in all that firing. Safety comes first then the reporting. Along with you, I will get killed one day.”
Chaitanya laughed, “Don’t you worry – in such a circumstance; I will ensure that your safety is taken care of first. See – nothing has happened to you or me… I took a calculated risk… and we are the only ones who have the close footage of this attack.”
“Your camera is shattered.” she pointed out.
“But, the recording disk isn’t. I still have the recording on the DVD.” he smiled.
She gave a huge sigh of relief and said “Now the media has weeks of discussions in how this attack was put into action and who could have behind it. I think – I will have to be in studio conducting those boring debates where people with no knowledge will keep yapping.”
“Suits you… You are not made for this tough action.”
She put out a tongue to tease him and laughed, “Let’s be on our way to Delhi and our studio…”
