Chaits was delighted. His dream had come true. They had a party that evening celebrating the Love’s Victory. Chaits, then dropped Tanvi and Anjali at Tanvi’s rented accommodation, then Guru at his home and drove back dreaming about happy days to come…

Anjali had promised him a wonderful date the next day – Sunday. It was going to be his dream date. Sure enough, they had a good time roaming together around in Mumbai, chatting on various topics of her interest.

“I had fallen in Love with you that day when you had stopped me and my friend.” she told him, “You were and are my only crush. I was terrified when you had suddenly popped out of nowhere and asked me my name. I then tried finding out more information about you. I found out that almost every second girl in the college had a crush on you – I had slim chance. Whenever, I tried contacting you, some or the other girl would approach you and start chatting nonsense with you and all I could do is watch you together. Had you proposed to me then – I would have gladly accepted. I’m absolutely delighted to know that you had and still have reciprocal feelings for me.”

When they reached Tanvi’s place, Anjali hugged her in joy for all that she had done to bring her and Chaits together. Tanvi looked at Chaits and said with mischief in her eyes, “I hope my grown up boy is happy now.” – His eyes said it all…

While leaving Tanvi’s place, he gently gave a chit to Anjali and she kept it with her… Before going to bed, she read what he had written…

“When my thoughts gently touch you…

I feel the cool breeze

Laden with your perfume…

I feel your softness

Slowly get on around me…

I feel the freshness of your breath

Making me all the more, happy…

When my thoughts gently touch you…

I dream … Only of you

I feel you all over me…

In my dreams, I rush around

Chasing the dream of you…

When my thoughts gently touch you…

I know, when you think of me

I can feel your thoughts…

When they go around by me

Sweety, how can I even loose a moment…

Without me, thinking of you…

When my thoughts gently touch you…”

She blushed and kept blushing at his words and slept happily dreaming about the romance ahead…

Chaits reached office on Monday, absolutely delighted at the fascinating turn his life had taken only to find that the workload had increased. The organization he worked for was launching new range of products. He was going to be stuck in the city for at least a couple of months.

All the plans he had made, all the dates he had planned with Anjali were affected. She understood his difficulty and promised to visit him at Mumbai every Sunday – after all it was a short journey of 3-4 hours one way. She planned to stay with Tanvi whenever she visited Mumbai.

One of the Sundays, Chaits’ parents had invited Guru and Tanvi (his fiancée) for lunch at Chaits’ place. This was ritual where Guru could introduce his to be wife to all those who were near and dear to him, Anjali visited along with them as Tanvi’s sister. His parents were impressed by her looks and her shy nature. They thought she would make an ideal wife for Chaits.

Tanvi sensed the general feeling and assured his parents that she would take this proposal up to Anjali’s parents. His parents were happy and blessed Tanvi. If this proposal by Tanvi gets approved by Anajali’s parents, along with Guru, Chaits’ life would get settled.

One of the days as Chaits entered his home after a weary day and his parents greeted him – “CONGRATULATIONS” – even as he was confused with this greeting. His mother broke the suspense informing him that a formal wedding proposal was put forth by Anjali’s parents and she wanted to know if Chaits was interested in this wedding proposal… he didn’t know how to react to his parents but subtly conveyed his interest in Anjali.

He slept happily after texting a ‘THANKS’ to Tanvi for all her help in as many words as he could. In a couple of weeks a down to earth engagement ceremony happened at his house attended by nearest relatives on both sides, and of course – Guru, his parents and Tanvi…

Anjali met him on Saturday evening but didn’t seem so happy. She kept quiet and looked disinterested. He dropped her back at Tanvi’s and drove back confused and dejected.

Her reaction was strange, especially now that they were officially engaged and were soon to marry each other. She didn’t meet him on Sunday instead left for her home to Pune without informing him. When he called her at noon – she informed him that she had reached home and abruptly cut his call. After that, her phone was switched off…

He rushed over to meet Guru and Tanvi and told them this change of behaviour in Anjali. Tanvi also was confused. She knew that Anjali was extremely happy about the fact that Chaits loves her and they now were engaged. Anjali had hugged her in joy thanking her for all her efforts in bringing them together…
