“We finish our drink here and then decide to have our dinner at some jazzy place. We exit this pub and Major Chaitanya is seen standing right in front of you…”
Mohini blushed at the thought, “Well I think you are getting over creative – wait till you find your love and I will tease you with such thoughts…” she laughed and pinched Samiya. Samiya was happy that finally she had seen Mohini smile and yes, she was laughing… all Samiya had to do was while away half an hour…
Meanwhile, Major Chaitanya had almost reached the pub where Mohini and Samiya were sitting. He was smiling away thinking of the reaction from Mohini. His friend from Mumbai NIA was driving the car and they passed the pub looking for a parking spot. They drove almost a furlong further when they turned into a lane and parked their car. He gave a missed call to Samiya as decided to let her know that he had reached and they could now exit the pub.
Samiya smiled as they paid the bill – she knew Mohini was going to get surprized when she sees Major Chaitanya approaching them. They started to exit and said bye to few people who had clicked selfies with her and moved out to the main exit of the place. They were now standing on the footpath deciding where to dine while Samiya was trying to get a glimpse of Major Chaitanya arriving on the scene. She saw him at a distance waiving at her to keep Mohini engrossed till he walked to meet them – he was still about half a furlong away and walking fast toward them…
A van stopped near them and 2 masked men hiding their faces in towels wound around quickly grabbed Mohini and pushed her into the car. They held guns and Samiya looked in horror at the scene. Before she could comprehend what happened they had kidnapped Mohini and were driving off at furious pace. Major Chaitanya tried to get in the way of the van but the van eluded him and drove past him…
He ran toward the direction the van had taken but the van was too fast, it took a turn to an alley and disappeared while Samiya sat down holding her head at this abduction. His friend from NIA who was with him made calls to local police station and gave the van’s details and the number plate for identification…
Major Chaitanya reached where Samiya was sitting down holding her head and weeping at the sudden occurrence.
“What happened here?” Major Chaitanya asked in desperation at the thought that his fiancée was kidnapped right in front of his eyes and he could do nothing to protect her.
“They kidnapped her…” Samiya said between her sobbing, “Don’t know who they are or why was she kidnapped…”
“Any enmity or a tiff with anyone?” his friend from NIA asked as an official would ask in such circumstances.
“Not that I know of – I don’t think she had a tiff with anyone or she has any enemies. She’s a celebrity…”
“Any financial deal with a crook or underworld?” he persisted.
“I told you she is a magician & a Celebrity and has no links to anyone crooked…” Samiya was now on the edge of a breakdown.
“Let me check if police has found any leads to the van…” and he started talking to the police officer on his phone while a squad of police arrived at the scene. Again all the official questions about a tiff or enmity were asked and when Samiya negated all these – even the police were baffled as to why she was abducted.
Samiya had now recovered a bit from this ghastly incidence and clung to Major Chaitanya for support, still sobbing at the occurrence. Police were trying to trace the van and were busy with calls and keeping away the bystanders who could disrupt their investigation. The news had spread and the news channels started to arrive at the scene trying to get their TRP.
Major Chaitanya pushed Samiya to one side away from all the nosey reporters and comforted her. She calmed down a bit and her mind started to think rationally. She then recollected what Mohini had told her and related it to Major Chaitanya as to how she was nervous and why they were out here and how she feared that her life was in danger and she gave the diary to Major Chaitanya saying that it contained something which may reveal her fears of danger.
