Around the same time in Karnatak:
The protestors had gathered in a Shivamogga in Karnatak. They were shouting slogans against the government’s lack of response towards the issues of the common man. The state government belonged to the ruling party –the party who ruled the Central government.
The youth leader who led the protests was from the party that ruled the central government – against his own party and was facing lots of snags because of the opposition party tantrums which were baseless. The opposition party only wanted the government to fall so that they can bid to form an alternate government.
There were elements in the opposition party who were downright crafty and used common people to create trouble. They also had links with goons and underworld to carry out their nefarious activities. One such party worker from one of the opposition was watching these protests with keen interest… He was not from the opposition party in the state – this was a third opposition party.
This was the third day of the protest and things were getting ugly. The protestors had damaged the cars of the ruling state government officials and the protest seemed to get more and more response from the general public who had started to join it en masse.
The evening saw tremendous crowd join the protest and the procession carrying banners of “Down with the government”. The state government was at a loss to curb this protest – obviously, it had done something wrong and for benefit of its own leaders.
The opposition party worker from the third opposition party who was watching this made a call and a band of hooligans arrived on the site and started to vandalize around. Nobody could make out the hooligans from the crowd and all started to get involved in arson as the rage in the crowd was raised and the effect of hooliganism had its effect on the crowd.
The state police had to call in more cops in emergency – they first started to use tear gas shells and water cannons used to disperse the crowd. The person watching the on-going clash between the police and the crowd signalled to a group in police as well as few hooligans – and they opened up fire on the crowd. The order for fire was not given by the state – this was being done on his signal. He was from one of those parties who wanted to have a stronghold in the region and these policemen and hooligans were hired by that party…
Everything went haywire. He wanted to create rift in the crowd that was united. In the melee that ensued, he signalled to one of his hooligan and they formed a group and approached the youth leader leading the protest. He was trying to calm down the crowd. The hooligans encircled the youth leader and stabbed him many times to his death on the spot. This created a further uproar in the crowd.
The leader and the party member from the third opposition party had achieved what they wanted. Now the crowd was split and started to blame one sect of society and started to wage violence against them. The media reporters were in glee at the turn of events and were busy in interviewing people from different sects about the murder of the leader – thus furthering the cause of the third opposition party – creating the rift in united crowd… They were getting their TRP.
The third opposition party had now started to gather the respect and the mandate of the crowd and were becoming belligerent to get more seats in the ministry – this would not only strengthen the party’s stand but also allow them to be corrupt at high level and gather party funds.
The person who had engineered the rift in crowd by killing the youth leader was crossing a busy road in Bangalore. He saw the traffic was fast but thick – he was jaywalking to cross the road and somehow reached the centre divider of the road.
He looked at the other side of thick and fast traffic when his eyes showed horror. Two people on a motorcycle were almost close to him at a high speed – and suddenly, a sword flashed from the man behind. The motorcycle passed close to him and in one sweep of the sword – he lay beheaded on the divider. The traffic was thick and fast – nobody noticed at first what had happened and by the time they realised – the motorcycle had vanished…
The small leader of that third opposition party who had been this person’s guide resided at Bellary and was at peace awaiting the next instruction from Delhi where they were HQ. He was addressing a small meeting of his party workers and in a daring attack was shot dead while others were left injured.
This was portrayed by media as a rivalry of competition of various opposition parties at the local level leading the investigation in a wrong direction. The media and the people forgot these incidences as other Breaking News gripped the nation…
