About a couple of days later he realized that the expensive cars of these businessmen were brought in and driven away by a girl in her early twenties.
She used to drop one car and pick the finished one, pay for the bill of repair and zoom away.
All his life – he had been alone and had buried himself deep in his work. He not only loved his work but was passionate and possessive about it.
He never had the time, nor had he bothered to look around at any female or even his regular female customers, however, he found himself attracted to this smiling young woman who drove the expensive cars of all these businessmen.
She had something different in her attitude. She knew he was getting attracted to her and didn’t mind it. She always wore expensive branded garments. Her looks were attractive and neat – head to toe.
Her smile and her soft voice seemed too attractive. To him, she resembled a combination of few famous female stars. Without any real intention of any commitment, he started to slowly drift toward her.
These feelings were new to him.
Over the next few weeks, their conversation grew. She seemed interested in him and his work and kept asking questions to know him better. He was glad about her interest in him and kept talking.
Everyday his heart longed to see her drive in with a car. He used to be restless whenever she failed to turn up.
One day he had a sudden realization – the workshop she used to visit belonged to his cousin. Why – he didn’t even belong to that town. His own business was a flourishing one and was miles away from this town.
She seemed rich with rich expensive tastes and wasn’t a correct match for him. With huge and difficult internal conflict – he started to control the feelings he felt for her.
He started concentrating more and more on the workshop than sitting on the counter. He knew he had to return and used most of his time to train his cousin and his aides.
Soon – it was time for him to return to his town. The vacation was over. He had to be back to his town – his workshop and his customers – and his life.
He did hope to see her one more time – just to bid a goodbye – before he returned to his town. The day of departure passed off and she didn’t visit the workshop. He was ready to go… Again, it was the overnight train.
The season of monsoon had now set in firm and it was raining heavy. He said bye to his cousin and his family and boarded the pre-booked cab to the railway station.
